Public Enemies is a Universal Studios’ Film directed by Michael Mann, and starring Johnny Depp as John Dillinger

Along with a number of other famous people! Scheduled to be released in 2009.
Construction of the set had been going on since the end of March 2008 and will continue through April 20th 2008. Actual filming will took place somewhere in the middle of those dates. (Supposedly 5 days of shooting for 20 minutes of movie.)
Oshkosh is the focus of a major bank robbery scene and that is where the set is being built. Around Oshkosh’s old First National Bank Building built back in 1926. I can’t wait to get pictures of the filming of that!
So in order to film this in the correct era, Downtown Oshkosh is being amazingly transformed into the 1930s. All modern technology and decor must be removed for filming at it is an amazing process if you have never witnessed Hollywood filming first hand. I have been taking many, many pictures of the construction phase and filming of the movie.
